Fit & sizing

The right size
starts with the right chart.

A size label is a starting point, not the whole fit. Use the measurements for the exact garment you are choosing, then consider how you want to wear it.

Check the garment

Find the
relevant measurements.

Check the product page or ask Ferrus for the chart for the proposed teamwear range. Confirm whether the figures are body measurements or finished garment measurements.

Need the chart for your kit?

Tell us which product or teamwear garment you are considering. We’ll help you identify the relevant sizing information before you choose.

Ask about sizing

A useful starting point

How to
take measurements.

Use a soft tape, keep it level and avoid pulling it tight. Follow any instructions supplied with the particular size chart.

01

Chest / bust

Measure around the fullest part of the chest, with the tape level around the back. Check the chart’s instructions for the intended position.

02

Waist

Measure around the natural waistline without tightening the tape. Use the reference point described in the garment’s chart if it gives one.

03

Hip

With feet together, measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat. Keep the tape level.

04

Garment measurements

If the chart uses finished garment measurements, compare with a similar item that fits well and follow the chart’s measuring method.

I am between sizes. What should I do?

Check the particular garment’s fit notes and measurements rather than applying one rule to every range. Think about layers and how close you want the fit, then ask Ferrus if you need help with the comparison.

Can a club collect sizes before the range is agreed?

An approximate size mix helps with the first enquiry. Final sizes should be checked against the agreed garment and chart before the order is confirmed.

Can I use the size I wear in another brand?

Use it as a reference only. Size labels and cuts can differ, so compare the relevant measurements for the actual garment.

How should a junior player’s size be checked?

Ask a parent or guardian to check the relevant chart and measurements for the intended wearer. Do not rely on age alone if the range uses a different sizing system.

Will the garment change when washed?

Follow the care label for the particular item. We do not apply one shrinkage or care claim to every fabric and decoration method.
